Welcome to the Coln RestorationGroup
Our goal is to restore the once stunning River Coln, in the heart of the Cotswolds, to its former glory. Our aim is to restore the river, combat pollution, reduce abstraction and ensure a clean and thriving catchment for all. With a dedicated group of volunteers at its core, the Coln River Guardians, monitoring the water quality every month we will hold all those responsible for managing the river to account.
ABOUT US
The Coln Restoration Group in the heart of the Cotswolds was created by a group of concerned valley residents who wanted to seek professional help to analyse the available data on sewage and other discharges from sewage works and other sources. Water being taken from the river is the other important data source that we can use to help identify the issues that the river faces. There are is also a group of CRG volunteers that check the water quality every month to provide a snapshot of the current situation and to help identify any pollution.
